What was your senior project about?<\/span><\/h3>\n
My senior project, URBN Explore<\/a>, was about experimenting with new technologies and seeing what kind of impact they could have on making life better for people. My team utilized the Estimote<\/a> beacons and their corresponding API to develop and iOS app that would find a user\u2019s location within the URBN center and help direct them to the rooms they needed to get to.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

What was an unexpected requirement for your job?<\/span><\/h3>\n

An unexpected requirement of my job was tackling older languages within old projects to update them to work within in our current framework. I feel at Drexel we always like to work with what\u2019s new and best, so it was a unique challenge for me to adapt to older languages and programs that aren\u2019t used anymore. However, with a solid understanding of coding you can tackle any language you come across, new or old. I will never underestimate the value of that.<\/div>\n

What is your favorite quote? Why?<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

My favorite quote comes from @fortes on Twitter, \u201cDebugging is like being the detective in a crime movie where you are also the murderer.\u201d While this quote is humorous, I think it reflects what I love the most about programming. You have so much control over building interesting solutions to real-world problems when you are a programmer, that it gives you a lot of power. That power takes a lot of responsibility to not end up leaving yourself in a crime scene of your own code.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
